Group Reformer Classes;
Session Length – 45 minutes

*It is recommended that all new clients attend at least one or two Foundation classes to ensure they are well-prepared and confident for each session.

Foundation:

In this class, you will receive clear instructions and guidance at a measured pace, ensuring a controlled and supportive learning environment. Upon completion, you will leave feeling confident in your abilities, stretched and energized. This class is ideal for individuals who are new to reformer pilates or those seeking to enhance their technique. This class is also a suitable option for pre- and post-natal clients, as well as individuals returning to an exercise routine.

Open:

This class offers a comprehensive full-body workout, featuring optional layers for each exercise. Designed to empower participants, it encourages freedom of choice, ensuring that everyone can experience success while being suitably challenged. By the end of the session, you’ll feel revitalized, energized, and motivated. Building upon the concepts established in the Foundation class, this session accommodates individuals of all ability levels.

Jumpboard:

In this class, you will engage in a comprehensive flow of exercises focusing on cardio, strength and alignment. The jump-board is an innovative accessory for the reformer,  it allows you to experience the feeling of jumping while lying down, kneeling, or working on your side. This session aims to elevate the heart rate, strengthen and tone your muscles, and improve endurance. This session is a great option for anyone wanting to add some variety in their exercise routine.

Seniors:

This thoughtfully designed class emphasizes flexibility, balance, and strength. During each session, participants are guided through various exercises, with options available to either modify or intensify the workout. Upon leaving the studio, you will feel rejuvenated, stretched, and empowered, all while enhancing social connections with others of a similar age. Senior clients are particularly encouraged to explore what this class has to offer, whether you aim to reintroduce exercise in a controlled, low-impact manner, improve overall health and fitness, or add variety to your routine in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Pre & Post Natal:

This class has been carefully curated for new and expectant mothers. You will be led through exercises specifically aimed at strengthening the muscles affected by pregnancy and childbirth. In a nurturing environment you will be encouraging one another while bringing your little ones along on this empowering journey. This class strengthens and supports the mind and body through its transformations, fostering confidence, embracing the changes through pregnancy/postpartum, and cultivating both mental and physical resilience.

1:1:

This session is for clients wanting to improve technique, gain confidence in understanding how to use the reformer or create a comprehensive plan to collaborate with health professionals to assist in rehabilitation, improve mobility, strength or overall physical fitness.

How do I book a class?

What if I am going to be late?

If you anticipate being late, please notify the studio as soon as possible. We request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to enable waitlisted clients to fill your spot.

What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates involves the use of a specialized apparatus known as the reformer. It features a footbar, carriage, pulleys, straps, and five springs that offer varying levels of tension.

This form of resistance training encompasses a range of exercises designed to enhance strength, flexibility, and coordination.

Additionally, props such as dumbbells, a Pilates ring, or a ball may be utilized to further enhance or support the workout.

What do I wear?

To ensure your comfort during the session, we recommend wearing clothing appropriate for exercise. Additionally, we encourage the use of grip socks to enhance your safety throughout the session.

I have an injury/ am pregnant. Can I still do a class?

To ensure your safety, please let us know about any pre-existing medical conditions, injuries, or if you are pregnant.It’s important to keep us updated on your ability to participate in class, especially if there are any health changes before, during, or after the session.

If you have any concerns you are encouraged to speak with the instructor. Alternatively, before booking a class you will be prompted to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q).
